Wasn't sure what to expect but the rooms where clean and the staff was nice. Nothing fancy but behind the hotel is the San Juan river and a nice walking trail. We stayed here for two nights and really have nothing to complain about. Don't come here if your looking for a 5 star hotel, but if your on a budget its a good place to stay.

Much better than we expected. Clean, pretty new furnishings, very nice staff. The frustrating thing was lack of AT&T cell service. Apparently they are a just a few blocks too far from the center of town to have reliable service. Also, they have 2 wireless connections, but I could not get them in my room at all times. I had to go stand on a very cold part of the lobby to get the connection. Could have been an AT&T thing of course.

Needed a room for 2 at 9pm Jan 30, and this was the only room in town for under $100. We payed ~$85. The room was clean, but the air was filthy. Their sign says "420 Friendly", and they fricken mean it! No joke! The skunky stench throughout the entire building was too much for me. If that's your cup o' tea, then this is the place for you. However, if I were pregnant or with small children, I would not have been able to stay here. As it was, I slept horribly due to the smell and the bed...but mostly the smell...mostly. Not staying here again if I can help it.

It is a cheap little place- and the sign says 420 friendly. With that, the rooms were clean, it was pretty quiet and only rarely did I get a whiff of the weed. For the cost, it was well worth it. Considering it was spring break, I really expected more noise and disturbance. But it was really a decent place for the cost. I would stay there again easily

I like to think that I am not a prima donna...have you ever smelled a urinal cake? For your sake I hope not, cuz I have been living with it for three days. I will never again trust the recommendations of Booking.com . I figured since we were in a tourist town where everything costs as much as Northern California, that the hotel (should be called a motel) wouldn't be half bad. WRONG. Let me break it down for ya all: Breakfast: This means baked cinnamon rolls tasting like those pulled straight from the can. No real milk or cream to speak of for coffee, only coffee mate. Beds: so old that when you sit on it they slip sideways, no firmness to speak of. Bedding: While clean, stiff and smelling of Clorox, everything was thin and worn. No extra blankets provided. Room Temperature: Either HOT or COLD, and since there were no blankets, I choose hot which in turn has made for several sleepless nights. Staff: The dude who checked us in seemed miserable (rightly so) with his job. The only good thing is that the room was clean. All this for $100+ per night. I think not!

Booked through Expedia for a skiing trip. Front desk staff is super friendly and we got discounted lift tickets for Wolf Creek. Motel is a bit dated but clean and accommodating. Mini fridge and microwave are a plus. Shower had great water pressure. Hot tub was a great amenity at the end of our long ski days.

Read good reviews and took a chance. Extended our trip by a night! Rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing new or fancy but not falling apart either. Cold AC. Fridge & microwave in room. Hot tub & sauna available, looked nice but we didn't use. Ping pong table with dated but very usable paddles. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room only came with towels for 2, no problem getting more when we asked. Continental breakfast was muffins and cinnamon rolls. Coffee and hot water available, I brought my own tea & didn't see any other. Backs up to the river and has great access to fishing ponds with gorgeous rainbow trout (chatted with some fishermen & saw their catch) next time we are planning to fish!!!

I'm a little torn on my review and don't know whether to give it 2 or 3 stars, but I'm going to settle on two. Let me give some background... While we were there, the WiFi was out. Unfortunately, it went out on the weekend and they couldn't get it fixed until Monday. They did get it taken care of pretty quickly on Monday by the time we got back from skiing, so kudos for getting it done quickly. The place is 420 friendly, and they really mean it. Now this isn't about whether or not you're for or against people smoking marijuana, but it's something that should have been CLEARLY communicated on their website. I don't particularly care one way or another, but I was there with my family including my kids, and it's not something I want them exposed to. While the doors have a "no smoking" sticker on the outside, it apparently does not apply to people smoking pot, which I overheard the front receptionist telling someone. The smell in the hallway was almost overpowering at times late at night. Don't you dare smoke cigarettes though! The room was clean, had a TV with cable, mini fridge and a small microwave. We actually saved money by picking up some lunch meat, cans of ravioli, etc. and eating some meals in our room. Not a bad option. Housekeeping also did a good job picking the place up. Overall, it's an older place with not the newest amenities but it's clean enough if you're looking for a cheap place to stay and don't mind the smell of pot. [ETA] I forgot to mention one big positive: They had a washer and dryer right in the lobby, and it was convenient to do some laundry so we didn't come home with a bunch of dirty laundry. They were older appliances but worked well enough. I guess I'll go ahead and go with three stars now that I remembered that part.
